Emergency measures to stabilize the banks of the tailrace from the Fleet Street Pumping Station, a key component of the water distribution system for downtown. The project entailed clearing and grubbing slopes approaching 45 degrees, removal of fill and construction of re-inforced earth walls at the toe of the banks to permit re-establishing safer slopes.
